He wasn't uncomfortable. He was angry that Lukas seemed to be making this all about how wrong Michael was. If Lukas hadn't have left like he did, Teddy wouldn't sulk and it'd be easier to get closer to him.
"Only because you've conditioned him to like you more than me. He acts like a stranger around me," he replied, his voice soft and yet clipped as he spoke. The tone that Lukas spoke with was dangerous and Michael knew it, but he challenged it anyway. "Where've. You. Been."

Lukas hadn't conditioned Teddy for anything, the two grew-up together. They've been buddies for a long time, and somehow Michael seemed jealous he couldn't wiggle his way in while going about it all wrong. It was pathetic, but that was besixe the point.
If Michael hadn't taken such a challenging tone, maybe he wouldn't have growled at the kid through grit teeth. "Somewhere you don't wanna know," he growled, venom dripping off his teeth.

Stupidly, Michael wasnn't afraid of Lukas and he scoffed at him, rolling his eyes. "What for?" He asked, keeping his eyes locked onto the other's. "Why're you trying to sound so scary? You make it sound like you took a visit to hell.
"Stop being so fucking dramatic."
