arguably the foulest-smelling place in all of flandres, the narrow, cobble-stoned street is lined with bars and habitually stained with vomit. in the day, rue de la soif is deserted, apart from the lone concert flyer blowing through. at night, it's packed with the inebriated bodies of bar hoppers.

day n nite discothèque is the premier clubbing destination from 10 pm to 6 am for its hard, cheap drinks and underground dj sets. from 10 am to 6 pm, day n nite is a regular bar/lounge that hosts live, acoustic music acts. it's said that the bar owner has connections in the industry and books unknown artists right before they go big.

flandres university is small, private, and only really notable for its eminent school of music. right outside university grounds is a popular café that has live music on weekdays, including student performers, and karaoke/open mic nights friday and saturday.
