Deep, brown eyes locked onto steely blues.
"Don't look at me like that," he replied, noticing the look that Lukas was giving him. "It's not my fault that it feels like you're gonna run off again. Seeing how long you've been gone, always threatening to quit the band. I thought you'd actually done it this time."
Michael scoffed, biting rough into his ice cream cone. "You could've at least said something. I would've understood."

Said something? Understood? This conversation alone showed Lukas that his bandmate didn't get anything. He furrowed his brows, still looking at him ugly... Michael was so frustrating. "Well," he started, "I'm here now. So shut up about it already..." His tongue felt so weird, he couldn't help moving it around in his mouth.

How could he get anything when he was being left in the dark? Another scowl, the roll of his eyes. "Whatever," he replied as he ate his cone, slurping at the melted ice cream that rolled down the side and onto his fingers. "Now you're here. So what?"
Michael perked a brow, looking over at him again once his fingers were clean from the sugary liquid. "Glad you are, though. I've missed your stupid-ass face."

Sometimes accepting the dark was getting somewhere. The boy scoffed, looking ahead until movement beside him attracted his gaze. Michael looked like a cat licking himself like that... he snorted. But then, Michael said something. He furrowed his brows again, obviously scowling like a fiend despite the sunglasses blocking his eyes. "Shut the fuck up," he grumbled, turbing his head down.

Michael laughed, covering his mouth with his arm when suddenly he choked on his spit, still laughing as he coughed it off. Lukas' reaction was perfect.
"Come ooon, you can't tell me that you didn't miss this beautiful mug, either," he stated cockily as he gestured towards his own face, smirking like a smug brat.

Lukas huffed, casually eating his ice cream while the other choked. Good. Hopefully he'd die. The boy turned his head when prompted. If only Michael could have seen behind those shades, there was a lot there in his blue eyes. "That's one way to put it," he grumbled still, "though, not one that's accurate." He smirked. "Much less correct."

Well, he didn't die.
"Oh yeah?" He replied with an upward infliction. "Then tell me; what is correct?" He was smirking even still as he looked over at the brunette, his own reflection flashing back at him through those dark aviators.

Unfortunately. Lukas rolled his eyes. He hated when people made him explain himself. But when he looked over at the other, his sight tracing the long scar on his face, he scoffed. The kid couldn't bring himself to say it, because Michael was far from ugly. Even with that mark on his face. "Bastard." He muttered, finally crunching into the cone.

Michael knew that Lukas hated to explain himself, which only made him want an explanation all the more. If only to pester the brunette punk. Still, he let it go and gave his friend a playful shove. "I'll take that as agreement, then."

After he'd recovered from the shove, Lukas couldn't help but quirk his lips into a slight smile. He liked when Michael acted like a bitch. Agreement? Fine. The punk reached up, gripping the top of his head to give him a little shake, scruffing his hair a bit in the process. "Hope y'been practicing, punk... gettin' tired of hearing sour notes."
