It'd been a week now. Perhaps a few days over, since Lukas happened to let it cross his mind. Lance had already agreed that the boy could stick to him as long as he wanted, so he wasn't worried that he'd soon have the money he needed. Every now and then he considered simply asking Lance, but he wouldn't do such a thing. It seemed... disgusting. In any case, the apartment was colder than usual. Or maybe it was just him. He walked into the livingroom where Lance was at work with his music. Seeing him work like that reminded him of when they'd sang together, their voices harmonized. Dressed in the guy's hoodie, he plopped down on the other end of the couch. His bony knee stuck out from the rip in his jeans. "How's it going?" Lance looked stuck. Although he'd just sat down, he got up and crawled next to him. Every time. It didn't make sense why he didn't just plop beside Lance in the first place, since that's always where he ended up. Perhaps he liked to pretend he wasn't so clingy. His hand slipped in, tilting the page so he could better read from his chin perched on the man's shoulder. "Is this the same song from last time?" His steely hues flicked toward the latter, then back to the page. The lyrics he suggested was there... his heart thumped. Without a word, he tilted his head and rewarded Lance with a kiss to his cheek. "Do you need help?" LANCE DAVIDSON

He was frowning at the paper, tapping his pen against his thigh when Lukas crawled over. Lance was stuck and when the smaller male took a look, he glanced over at him. He nodded.
"I wouldn't mind a little bit of help," he replied casually, turning his attention back to the paper.
The punk had stuck around for a while, but Lance honestly didn't mind. Where else was the kid supposed to go? Apparently where Lukas lived was too dangerous and besides, Lance enjoyed the company. It was nice having a bedmate.

The same paper... about that someone else. Lukas just smiled, albeit coldly, pointing at a line and suggesting something that'd help it better flow. "So here," his slender finger slid to the next verse, "doesn't it have a better rhythm?" He smirked. "I bet your drummer would get bored... a song like this." Actually, it was the punk getting bored of songs like this--but what was he thinking?
Whoever it was, they really fucked Lance up. To wish that inspiration be exchanged to him, it didn't seem fair. Not when Lukas had songs like "pussy" in his repertoire. Especially when he admitted to Lance he wasn't interested in girls. He glanced up at the man, plain and unpleasant as ever before a smile crept to his lips. The boy pecked his cheek. "Maybe you should add some pop elements to brighten up your depressing set, hm?" He snickered, obviously just teasing him.

Not all his songs were slow and depressing. Not all the songs he wrote were about Salem. But, with all his emotions being in a tizzy recently, he had to get them out somehow. This was the best way, he figured, and he had a feeling the boy was only acting this way towards the song because he knew it was about that silver-haired asshole.
He just cut his eyes over at Lukas when he mentioned the pop elements. "You better watch your mouth," he stated coolly. "You have a problem with my songs?"
Joking or not, Lance took stabs at his music very personally.

Lukas snickered when the guy got so damn serious with him. He rested against him, "it could use more techno, honestly..." maybe Lance was getting upset, but the punk felt light in his chest. Idly, he stroked a few stray strands of the larger guy's hair. For his sake, he surmounted all his seriousness. "What's this line supposed to sound like?" He pointed, asking Lance to sing it for him real quick.

Lance grumped, ignoring the pets to his hair if only to keep seeming upset when in reality the pets to the strands were very nice. It felt to good be touched.
He ignored the techno bits.
When asked to sing, he glanced over at the boy again, but cleared his throat. He closed his eyes, helping him to focus, and began to sing the words how he imagined them.
Slow, deep, rough, yet flowed so smoothly.

Ballads weren't really his thing, but upon hearing the melody he had a good idea what Lance was trying to put on paper. He didn't stop petting him, not as he leaned close to his ear and offered up a few words for him to work with. Maybe Lance's feelings had changed since he started the song, making it difficult for him to pick-up where he left off. "And here," he pointed to the verse, suggesting a rhyming word.

Not that he was offended by the help, he clearly appreciated it by accepting it, he was curious. "Why do you want to help me write this?" he asked after the help was given and he'd written down the suggestions.
Lance pushed the paper aside and put down the pen, sitting back on the couch and crossing his arms. "For a kid who likes to get his ass handed to him, you sure are into this. Being domestic, cuddling and kissing... Wearing my clothes." He eyed the hoodie.
He wasn't upset or put off, just curious.

... Lukas liked music, too. He was a musician, too, after all. It interested him, and he liked that Lance took his suggestions into consideration. As the pen was set down, the boy almost crawled into the other's lap before he was further questioned. "You wanna piss me off?" He grumbled. It wasn't fair, since lately he didn't really have a reason to act out.
Lukas scowled.
"The sun is hot." He crooned quietly, "and the moon's gone down." Lips grazed the lobe of his ear as he sang softly to the male, "It's morning again, but you... you're not around. I get myself, up outta bed. Got too much shit, runnin' through my head..." The kid paused, his pale cheeks simmering slightly as he pushed himself into the other's arms.
"Well, I get by, get by, get by... buyin' more'n'more time..." The words had a kick to them, as he pronounced the 'g' like a click. Lukas sat on his thigh, snaking his arms around Lance's neck. "I won't die, won't die, won't die, but I'm gonna try..." His steely eyes focused on the other as he sang to him, pursing his lips together when he was finished.
What was the significance? It seemed to mean something to Lukas, but who knew. He dipped down to kiss the other, feeling he'd somehow answered his questions with that performance.

Lance was keen. He knew, but he was how he was. The man watched as the boy sang to him, snaked his arms around his neck and pulled himself closer to Lance's body. His eyelids lowered, heavy as they watched the boy, listened closely to the way he sang those words.
And sealed with a kiss, mm? Lance returned it, soft and gentle, speaking quietly after the kiss had broken, "You've fallen for me."
