Yeah, he wasn't stupid. Narrowed eyes peered back at the man, certain he lied. Lukas flipped through enough of these types of magazines to know they didn't come with coupons in them. Coupons for what? That idiot. If he was gonna lie, he should have said it was event details or something. Lukas rolled his eyes, flipping to the table of contents to figure out what had been on that page. "Page 15 through 17..." he started, momentarily distracted by his need to get comfortable. After wiggling himself snugly into Lance, he continued to read the contents of the pages aloud. Some new band he felt like he'd heard of, probably because they were sorta popular now... and various other articles between. How to wax your guitar strings?

Lance knew it wasn't a good lie, but sometimes those magazines came out with coupons for things like guitar strings or picks or amp cords. Whatever. When Lukas started to read out loud what was on those pages, Lance frowned and grabbed the magazine, tossing it across the room before he pushed Lukas onto his back. He climbed on top and kissed him softly along his neck, trying to distract him. "What difference does it make what was on the pages?"

He'd gasped, surprised when the magazine was snatched from him. With a growl, he twisted his torso to glare at Lance. "What the fuck?" Lukas had begun to sit-up, but was shortly shoved onto his back. Maybe that's why the brunette had taken the magazine, to redirect his attention to something much more interesting. It'd be impossible to break away from beneath someone as large as Lance, but he didn't really care to once his neck was kissed and nibbled. He exhaled, not really in the mood though it felt nice. If the brunette hadn't said anything, the smaller male would have forgotten all about the dumb magazine. What he said, however, brought Lukas to the conclusion he was hiding something. A brow quirked up. "I dunno," he said, laying still, "Feels like I should be asking you that."

What for? Because, obviously, something about it had made Lance act weird. Not that he cared, it just made him wonder what the heck had happened. For someone that was always so indifferent, he really seemed bothered by this article. Lukas wondered if he should have left it alone. He should have left it alone. "Seems like it means some shit to you," he threw back. Hands pressed on the man's chest, hinting at him to let off with the attention to his neck.

Lance sat up and glared holes into the boy's face, staring down the bridge of his nose. "Why the fuck do you care?" He was being awful, acting mean like that, but he was also being defensive. Lukas was prodding at a very sensitive place and Lance wasn't very appreciative.

Irritated, Lukas glared back at him. "I don't," he said simply, "but you're acting weird." Lance only had to tell him it wasn't something he wanted to talk about, the boy would be upset but he would have left it alone then. Or, actually, he probably wouldn't have stopped. Not until they'd eventually get to this point they were at now. Curious insistence versus even curiouser resistance. He got onto his elbows to get closer. "Was it about you?"

That was a dumb guess, seeing as how the guy lived pretty... cheaply. Then again, he coulda fallen on hard times or something. Lukas grimaced. He didn't know what it was, but he felt it might be the reason Lance always seemed so miserable. Sliding his legs out from beneath him, the boy sat up straight. Bony fingers touched his face before he leaned in to kiss his neck, nibble on it as Lance had done earlier to distract him.

He sighed softly, still glancing to the side with his eyes. He didn't want to look at the other male, though really he couldn't anyway with him all up in his neck like he was. He appreciated the attempt, but it wasn't helping all that much. Now he was thinking on his past and it stung really bad.
