Lukas snickered. He moved his hands into the man's hair, running his fingers through the long strands. What he said, it'd been out of spite. "I didn't wanna fuck her, so I was doing everything else to avoid it." He explained, because he didn't think either of them were sluts. "And she thought it was because I loved her, so she told me after everything... she thought I did it because I was crazy and in love with her..." he smiled, stroking Lance's shoulders. "Honestly..." the boy murmured, "so clueless... her friend was a bitch, too."

Lance hummed thoughtfully. "How typical," he stated, leaning back onto his back as he stared up at the ceiling. "Wanting the prize but not wanting to take responsibility." As if Lance even had room to say that type of thing. It was almost insulting, how he said that yet didn't realize how much of a coincidence it really was. Lukas should've slapped him right then and there.
"Well, it's over now. And you don't have to worry about those girls."

He turned his head, carefully looking over the man's face as he stared at the ceiling. What was he thinking? Then he spoke his thoughts, which hadn't caused Lukas to make the same connection. He didn't care if no one wanted to claim responsibility for the prize, it didn't work that way. He wasn't attracted to them in the first place. It was like those trophies given to the loser's just so they don't feel bad, then they go around calling themselves winners.
Yet, he'd look to Lance again. Somewhat surprised, or shocked, by his words. Lukas never saw it that way, that the past was in the past and there was no use letting it hurt you now. Maybe his experience with those girls was over, but Lance didn't know the extent of Lukas' idiocy. Even after high-school, he was still playing the same game. It started out soft, growing into a wholehearted laughter. "I guess you're right," he commented, rolling onto his side then. "Next time you go out, lemme come with you. I don't wanna be alone."
