The lights were bright as they shined down onto the stage. He tried to focus on the songs they were playing, but in the back of his mind he couldn't help but think of his parents. He was thinking about school and the score he'd gotten on last week's test. It was dangerously close to a B and his mother hadn't been too happy with him.
Fuck, he played the wrong note. Not like anybody cared, let alone Lukas. He seemed to like the raw and rugged sound. It went well with his voice, all shredded and cracking when he would shout into the mic. Lukas... Mikah was looking at him from behind, watching him hold the mic stand close and practically grind against it. So crude, but it worked.

Nobody cared, except Lukas. They had practiced this song, for this show. After their first has been a complete trainwreck, the kids banded together and organized just enough to pull this off without a hitch. But when he heard that crude chord, his brows furrowed. Michael. It had to be Michael, always with so much more petty shit to worry about instead of getting into the music.
Trash. For the sake of the show, the brunette ignored it. Though, his presence on stage grew more violent. He dropped to his knees, craning forward as he growled despicably to the audience about the benefits of going to bed late, waking up early. Got cuts on his arms, but he ain't no junkie. There's a smell in the basement, and it's a little funky. All the badges sayin' he got real lucky.
This time around.

Sweat coated his brow and he tossed his hair to the side when it got in his face, beads hanging off the ends and strands sticking to his wet skin. It was so hot under those lights. He looked over at Lukas again and smirked when he saw him get down on his knees, getting close to the crowd.
He seemed really attached to this song, but it was so funny. Not a junkie but he'd seen Lukas doing drugs every now and again. He supposed that didn't make him a junkie, but he still did the drug sometimes. Michael had before, too, but he didn't do it regularly.
Shit, another wrong chord. What the hell was wrong with his fingers? Perhaps he was nervous after working so hard at practice. Maybe his fingers were getting tired. How long had they already been on stage? He couldn't remember.

Because it wasn't about drugs. Not really, anyway. Michael should have remembered that night, but he supposed the bassist was too concerned with licking the shit of his mom's feet. It's not like anyone came to visit him in the hospital, anyway. Well, except @teddy. Stupid kid tried to act tough, but Lukas saw the stains on his cheeks. Where was Michael, anyway? Studying. Always making practice difficult to plan with his homework, and his studying.
Michael was supposed to be a bad kid, but he was nothing more than a good kid. It irked the brunette to hear him play every perfect note, and then suddenly a missed chord. Focus, you dumbass, focus. His face had become red in embarrassment, but to everyone else it was the heat, the lights. The cord he wrapped around his neck and tugged like a noose as the song came to a close. Two songs down, with three more left.
Don't fuck it up, Michael.

It wasn't like that. He wanted to see the boy in the hospital, but he wasn't allowed out when he was pressed under the thumb of his parents. He tried! To no avail. Unknown to Lukas, but Mikah had been up all night worried sick.
He looked over at him as the song ended, walking over to the edge of the stage to grab his water bottle and guzzle more of it down. He was so thirsty and hot... Fuck. He'd need another bottle after this next song. As they started it up, Mikah got a little closer to the edge of the stage, flashing the crowd a dangerous grin and bending his strings to warp the sound a little.

Even if he'd ever told Lukas what had happened, he wouldn't have cared. Michael didn't come. That's what mattered to him, actions. Not words. And now, the blonde was giving him a lot of action. The crowd ate up his reverberations, but that was not how the song was supposed to start. This show had become a farce.
With Michael fucking up and adding weird sounds that fucked Teddy up. The kid couldn't play as good as Michael, he couldn't keep up like him. Michael fucking knew that. Lukas poured the remainder of his water bottle over his head, shaking his head like a dog and spraying what'd gotten into his mouth at the crowd.
As he sang, he slipped off the stage and into the crowd. He only went as far as the cord would let him, but someone with a bottle wasn't too difficult to reach. When the pace suddenly quickened, Lukas perfectly synced throwing himself over and smashing the bottle on the floor.
When he stood, his back was to the crowd and his deadly blue eyes were on Michael. Kick! Your ass! His broken voice splintered against the mic, "You got a target on your ass, and I'm comin' for you!" Glowering at the bassist, he pointed the broken end at him. Lukas ran up and hopped back on the stage before he had to continue the next line. Refacing the crowd, he held the broken glass to his own neck. Pressing.

Shit. The way Lukas looked at him and pointed that bottle, it seemed he wasn't impressed with his attempt at covering his ass and making up for the last song. He was trying, dammit! Mikah glared at Lukas and growled out at him, letting out a gravely shout when he'd hopped back up onto the stage before he'd turned to face the crowd again. That's when Mikah took a step back.
Dammit, the crowd loved it. Isn't that what mattered?

No, it was great that the crowd loved it. If Lukas weren't already pissed off, he would have been so glad that Michael added that little touch. Then his anger could be directed at the guitarist instead. However, he was mad. And that unexpected note just made it worse. As if he hadn't heard that little shout when he got back on the stage, he wasn't going to stand for Michael testing him. He stalked over to his side, audibly growling the violent lyrics against his ear from behind. Lukas shifted with the beat, as he usually did, but his body was so close to Michael. He placed a hand on the boy's hip, inviting him to move with him. This music. This, that they all made together. As a band.
Suddenly, his arm was wrapped around the blonde's waist. A break in the song, he hissed the words into the male's ear. The microphone right there to catch every word. After all, the show must go on. "You got a choice to make, but you're lookin' scared." He lifted his hand to the boy's forehead, yanking him back. His chin on Michael's shoulder, he wondered if the latter had figured out yet that, at its core, this song was about him. "Can I cum on your face, or in your hair?" Neither was a desirable choice, and neither was choosing the band, or his parents. Lukas knew.
Lukas knew it was hard. "One or the other, neither here nor there." But he was getting pissed off by this brat's indecision, and the affect it was having on him. On everyone. Get out, or stay. Michael couldn't have it both ways.

Michael kept on playing even as Lukas stalked around the stage and moved behind him. He didn't turn to look, but he could feel him getting closer, the heat of his body. It was so hot, like his own was, and when guided to move with his body, Michael did. Lukas' hand almost singed his skin it was so warm, the exposed parts of his waist catching a clip of his hand.
But then his head was tugged back and he gasped out loud, the mic catching his voice. If it was close enough to catch Lukas' words as he murmured into his ear, it was close enough to pick up Michael's hitching breath. His strumming paused at that, taken off guard. This wasn't a part of the show, not like he'd rehearsed, but a lot of their show was in the heat of the moment.

Yeah. Heat of the moment. Lukas lifted the jagged edge, letting the microphone drop. The song was done, anyway. He held the kid steadily, his lips pressed his neck. The glass easily carved the boy's skin, an ugly cut to match his indecision. He let out a roar, no longer performing for the crowd. To them, however, it was all part of the show though reactions varied. Horrified, excited, this was the defining moment of their band. "Good boys," he growled to his bandmate, "they can't be bad kids, too."
