emily is like a flagship store. she is expensive, prominent, and doesn't care if you're homeless and desperate, sitting in front of her is only going to invite a boot up your ass. she never doubts her pioneership either, because the cafe she's queuing up in is one she's suggested to everyone from her coworkers to random fans on the street. it is quaint, it is moderate, and it makes a mean latte.
however, once she gets to the front of the line and takes in the barista's face (very delicate and beautiful, mind you) she feels as if she'd just been slapped in the face by nostalgia. she feels as if she's just about to leave the house and her phone is fully charged.
she takes off her sunglasses in one swift movement and stares blankly, much to the annoyance of the young man who was supposed to be next in line.
"m... mag? mags? what you doing here?" she raises an eyebrow. "i've never seen you before."
