► Minori Kimura  235 Words Fun Fact I posted this on the wrong account at first | His head still hurt from the night before, with no real recollection of the club he had visited other than the combination of liquor and flashing lights had managed to give him the headache he now had. Coffee. He needed coffee as fast as he possibly could without murdering someone but that seemed to be a nearly impossible task. His body felt too heavy, his head throbbing and just feeling utterly lethargic in the face of moving… but if he left and got coffee, bringing his laptop, he could maybe leech off of the free internet at the local coffee shop and get some work done as well as coffee.
Slowly, he got out of the bed, pulled on a pair of skinny jeans that he had worn the night before without falling on his face and looked through his drawers for a clean shirt. Finding some shirt for a band (Babymetal? A friend of his had sent him this shirt a few months ago, but he was yet to actually see the band) with the logo in Japanese and pulling it on. He stumbled then to the café, with his laptop on his arm and ducked into the entrance, wincing as the sound of dance music reached his ears. He slunk over to the counter and mumbled “Kōhī, onegai” as he pinched his temples, not realizing what he had asked for wasn’t in English.

the café saw a cast of diverse characters each morning looking for their coffee fix, some more in need of it than others. she hummed along to the remix streaming on the radio (not hers, but soon), topping off the latest cappuccino with milk foam and capping it. "thank you, come again." turning to face the next customer, magali took in his bleary-eyed expression and disheveled hair. probably hungover, if she had to guess. his mumbled words were in a language entirely incomprehensible to her. blinking, but otherwise unfazed, magali returned politely in english, "come again? sorry, i don't understand japanese."@minori |

► Minori Kimura 173 Words Sorry it's short D: | The man blinked at the woman, his tired brain taking a moment to "manually" switch between that of Japanese and English. There was usually a time in the day that he would bring himself to care that he was confusing the barista in front of him, but that time would start the second that he was not hung over. That would be after he got his coffee and he briefly apologized. He hoped.
"Er, coffee please." He said relatively slowly, rubbing his temples as he looked at the girl, wincing as the bass dropped in the song. Perhaps he would just take the coffee to go. Slinking back to his apartment wouldn't be that bad and he wouldn't annoy the poor girl anymore than he was... and then Minori managed to remember the difference between just asking for coffee and asking for a specific coffee size. "Medium." He added on quickly, shoving his hand into his pocket to find his wallet, praying that he hadn't left it at home again.
