your parents were both architects, but you wanted to sing. ever since you were a young girl music had been something you were good at - the only thing you were good at. thinking about following in the family footsteps was terrifying because drafts and drawings didn't come to your fingertips like notes came to your lips.

as your graduation grew closer your anxiety grew deeper. you could sing, that was a given, but your personality was not really conducive to being on the stage. your parents tried to shoot you down. "you'll never be confident enough to get on stage," they would say, and passed you applications to architecture school.

the day after you graduated you left home. it wasn't planned and you were so afraid you got sick on the bus out of town. all you had was a bag stuffed full of all the things you could fit and a one-way ticket clear across to the other side of the country. flandres, quebec, was the destination but even though you knew where you were headed you never felt more lost.

but you could be anyone you wanted in flandres. you could start a brand new life. you could have as many lives as you wanted. stepping out of your shell was easy when you could hide behind the mask of someone else. you played small gigs, you got a little money. you invested in your multiple lives, each one with different hair and eyes and makeup and clothes. by the time you made it to the steps of million eyes productions you were someone completely new. and you were someone completely new the day after. repeat ad infinitum.

but you didn't know that adopting your stage personas would come at a cost. blue, sunny, alta and merveille could come at the drop of a hat but somehow she was forgetting euphemia.
