INTERVIEWER: CARE TO GIVE US A BACKSTORY?

RL: I was born in the gutter. Seriously. My mother plopped me out of her vag while huffing and puffing, sitting above a storm drain in the street. It's entirely because my parents are idiotic trust fund heirs. They're in the hotel business and they're the only people I know who could fuck up the process of putting on a condom. Moving away from making someone imagine my parents humping, I was born and they haven't made any more mistakes like me since. I've always lived in a hotel like a fucking refugee. I don't think I'd know how to function if I didn't have a kitchen in my bedroom. I also have all the towels that I need. I hop from city to city whenever I feel the need, staying at a family hotel each time. Perks, I guess.

INTERVIEWER: WHY THE MOVE FROM THE STATES TO CANADA?[break][break]
RL: I'm in Canada because... Well, I really don't have a fucking clue. I started working with music as a teenager in New York. I liked going to clubs and warehouse scenes for the girls. Girls like DJs. You can put it together. Some guy, I don't even remember his name, saw a video from Risk when I did some famous bitch's sweet 16 party. You know that chick. She never wears a stich of underwear and then wears miniskirts. Anyway, that guy saw me on Youtube. He shows up at my door and offers me a shit ton of money to go around playing my tracks and remixing other people's tracks too. I signed some paper, got advertised everywhere, shit blew up. Now I can't go outside. Canadians are nicer though. I had to move here when I got traded. ANL bought my contract and I guess this is where I'm staying put for now.

INTERVIEWER: ANYTHING YOU'RE UNSATISFIED WITH IN YOUR LIFE AS A DJ?[break][break]
RL: I don't like certain things about myself. I'm hot-headed and nervous most of the time. I'm scared that all of a sudden, some stupid asshole will just yell, "Your music is shit!" and no one will care anymore. The business is fine though. I have a manager for all that garbage. I don't get into much trouble though. I know the rules for this industry and I follow them for the most part.
