virgil has some photoshoot scheduled and isa has some peace scheduled. something about virgil squirms beneath his skin, hungry and restless and not always bad but enough he can never get anything done. but first he convinces isa to give him a lift, then to tag along. to keep him entertained. isa's almost sure it's everything to do with to with photo ops, but with the last time someone tried to take his picture still buzzing gossip in the air, he's not sure anyone will seize it. they're late. isa parks and stares up at the studio with half a mind to drive away, until virgil jostles him from the thought. isa shakes a cigarette from the pack on the dashboard and urges virgil ahead with a nod, says he'll catch up. virgil has half a mind that isa won't catch-up despite the fact he says he will, but he also has half a mind that says he doesn't care. virgil doesn't rush up, but he doesn't take his sweet-ass time. he makes it, eventually. he catches the closest person's attention and asks to be directed to the person in charge - or whatever - he adds on after that. they point at a white haired man with a camera and virgil thinks to himself, 'i could've figured that out, probably.' virgil walks up to the man with some sort of confidence, unsure of exactly where it's from. being late isn't something to be proud of. "excuse me, are you the one in charge here," he asks. "i'm virgil marion, i'm sorry i'm late."JONAH STERLING bah |

unnatural, the glowing lights. white backdrop illuminated. the lamps he adjusts teeter, light wobbling. camera round his neck dangles, bumps against his chest. he steps back. eyebrows knit together, considering. everything is in place, last minute adjustments made. the clock earns a quick glance, tells him his client is late. quite often it happens. not concerning in the least, so long as they show up. even no shows bother him very little. there are always photos to be taken, other clients to take their spots. a quick call, and they'll be on their way. but the client arrives, asking a question he wasn't listening to. "hmm? did you say something?" he looked the man over with heavy eyes. "are you my four o'clock? you're late." ISA KRISTOFF |

he feels like the chaperon, though virgil can handle himself, at least for the few minutes isa takes for a smoke. he draws it out - smokes until the cigarette is practically singeing his fingers, and almost considers a second. instead, he tosses the butt to the ground and heads inside. there will at least be food, if nothing else to hold his interest. he says he's with virgil, glancing in his direction for some sort of confirmation. he catches the eye of the photographer, and cants his head slightly, a recognition stirring. he wasn't listening. virgil hates when people don't listen, but he bites his tongue and keeps those thoughts to himself. "yes, i'm your four o'clock," he says. late or not, he's here. and he had a face the camera will adore. his listless smile grows more sincere. excitement bubbles up, like soda fizz. "good, i'm glad you made it. lots of people make appointments and don't show up." he holds his hand out to shake, introduction time. "i'm jonah sterling. virgil, right?" eyes wonder, a familiar face approaches. he freezes. fists relentless, flashes of white. his bruises throb. "what is he doing here?" ISA KRISTOFF |

he sees the photographer's face light up at the sight of virgil, and isa's gut wrenches sharply. not of jealousy, but in a rekindling of the anger that jonah reminds him of. but he stands with his hands in his pockets and his expression impartial. "i'm with him." he repeats, tone icy. he meets jonah's eyes in challenge. virgil knows the vague outline of the story, but isa's not sure if he'll recall the details, or put them together. he's certain almost everyone else is brushing it off as his typical standoffishness. he nods. yes, virgil is his name. he'd point out he already introduced himself, but he's already acknowledged the fact jonah wasn't listening in the first place and figures no point in going in circles. he raises an eyebrow at jonah's question before he looks over to see what exactly the photographer is looking at. isa. "oh," he says, looking back towards jonah. "yeah, he's with me. is that a problem?" JONAH STERLING :3c |
